We are hiring Ticket Counter Executive who are responsible and customer friendly. The Ticket Counter Executive position goes on to assist passengers with ticket bookings, cancellations, queries and payments at station counters. Candidates are to assist and control customer queue with calmer and issue management. Candidates must also keep records in order, in accordance to the policies and regulations of the Indian Railways. Key Responsibilities?

Booking of train tickets for passengers and assisting with general, sleeper and AC class tickets.

Managing cancellations, refunds and changes of tickets while adhering to the rules of the railway.

Proving train schedule, seat availability, ticket fare and platform information with precision.

Controlling the queue, and making sure the passengers move constantly in a disciplined fashion at the booking counters.



Working with the computer based reservation system (IRCTC) to issue tickets to customers.

Concession tickets must have the proper documentation and passenger identity must be verified.

Daily billing must be complete and all cash and digital payments accounted for.

Assisting the customers in a friendly and polite manner to resolve issues.

Keeping customers informed of changes in routes, delays and schedule/service changes.

Data must be complete and accurate and operational standards must be followed for fund management.

Required Qualifications & Eligibility?

Minimum 10+2 or Graduation from a recognized board/university (qualification may differ on recruitment notification).

Typing and basic computer skills are required.

Communication in the prescribed manner must be done in Hindi and local language. If possible, use English.

Flexibility to work various shifts during the week and on holidays.

Attitude to provide customer service and problem solving with patience.

As per Railway recruitment standards, valid Indian citizenship.
