Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Token Operators are a key part in the operation of a smooth running metro station. As a Metro Token Operator, the primary function will be to serve customers by providing ticketing services, operating token vending systems, cash transactions, and customers seamless entering and exiting of the metro station. Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers in a timely and efficient manner to purchase travel tokens, smart cards, and system recharge at ticketing kiosks.
Effectively operate ticketing machines and ensure that transactions are fare calculations, and transactions are processed.
Provide travel information, routing assistance, fare information, and general assistance to customers.
Handle cash and digital transaction payments and keep a balanced record of daily transactions and receipts.
Supervise the entry and exit gates to make sure passengers are token or smart card transactions.
Record and report on system malfunctions, complaints, lost and found items, or any other unusual event to Station Controller.
Keep ticketing counter and Passenger Service Area pods tidy, in order, and free of distractions.
Adhere to safety, emergency, and metro authority operating direction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: 10+2. (Higher Secondary).
Basic digital proficiency and familiarity with online payment systems.
Exceptional, kind, and professional communication and customer service with metro passengers.
Ability to remain calm, and efficient in a stressful situations and crowds of people.
Experience in handling cash and a keen eye for detail are very important for this role.
Should be able to do shift work including weekends and public holidays.
