Safety and Emergency Management:
Ensure the plane’s safety and secure compliance with air travel regulations. Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
Passenger Assistance: Greet and help passengers with boarding the plane, sit them into their assigned seats, and store their luggage. Respond to any special passenger needs, concerns, or requests throughout the flight.
In-Flight Service:
Ensure flight attendants serve passengers flights beverages, hot meals, and meals that were purchased in the airport prior to boarding the plane. Attend to passenger comfort needs throughout the duration of the flight.
Pre-Flight Duties: Ready the plane’s cabin prior to passenger boarding. Complete an inventory and check that safety equipment on board. Ensure the plane is neat and adequately stocked.
Post-Flight Responsibilities:
Prepare needed documentation to complete a flight log. Complete preparation for next route and tidy the cabin after all passengers leave the airliner, and after the flight.
SpiceJet Airline Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: This role is centered around engaging with and communicating to the passengers as well as with the other members of the cabin crew, so strong verbal communication is key.
- Customer Service Experience: Most businesses will look for past customer service or hospitality experience as that is an industry that many of the skills will translate directly.
- Physical Fitness: By law, airlines must have certain height and reach requirements, so cabin crew members will have physical requirements that must be met to access safety equipment and assist passengers.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: This role requires a strong ability to work as a team as well as be able to change up the way you are doing things at a moment’s notice.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required for most aviation jobs and if you know another language, that is a huge advantage.
