A Security Guard ensures safety and security by monitoring properties and facilities and protecting people during and after work hours. SIS Security Guards are needed in places like retail stores, corporate offices, residential areas or even public events. Work is required during the night, weekends and holidays as well as in the outdoors with all types of climates.
SIS Security Responsibilities:
- Patrolling the Premises: Perform frequent patrols to assess and audit the security to detect any breaches or scenarios that might lead to security break and confirm that all doors, windows, and gates are secured.
Control the property by checking identities and managing the logs for visitors.
- Incident Response: React instantly to emergencies, alarms and any assistance calls.
- Reporting:
Document and compose detailed reports in writing of your daily activities, and any anomalies including property or equipment damage, theft, anything or anyone that hasn’t had authorization or anything out of the ordinary occurred.
- Customer Service: Excellent and respectful customer service and assistance is to be provided toward visitors and employees, responding to concerns or questions
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma is required, or the equivalent is accepted. The position is further enhanced by other security training or certifications.
Experience:
Prior experience in civil protection or law enforcement is of preference, but even that is not required most of the time.
Skills:
Must possess and demonstrate observational acuity, and be detail oriented. In addition, a candidate should retain composure in stressful situations. Also, they must communicate and work well with other people.
