Technical & Engineering Roles:
- Site Civil Engineer: Draws up plans, designs, manages construction, and makes sure everything is working according to the project plans and safety requirements.
- Electrical/Instrumentation Technician: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of complex electrical, pneumatic, and computer systems, along with troubleshooting defective equipment
- Maintenance Worker: Provides lawn care, industrial cleaning, some repair jobs, and assists safety operations.
Operations & Customer Service Roles:
Train operator:
Responsible for driving the trains while observing the train’s operations and guaranteeing the train’s safe and efficient movement.
Station controller: Responsible for the overall efficient functioning and managing of the train service flow and traffic at the station.
Customer service agent:
Responsible for assistance to the clients and the handling of inquiries while managing the tickets and ensuring customer satisfaction.
General Responsibilities:
- Safety Focus: You must understand and comply with rules and regulations pertaining to safety, including, but not limited to, traffic control, and entering confined spaces.
- Reporting: You must do documentation around the incidents, maintenance needs, and the daily operations.
- Teamwork: You must collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and possibly be tasked with training others.
General Eligibility Criteria:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, IT, or B.Sc IT/MCA and similar IT-related qualifications.
Work Experience:
Mostly needed in metro/railway related projects, and ranges from 0-2 years of experience for entry roles, and 3-5+ years for higher roles.
Age: Is position dependent and often has upper age limits like (38-43 years for some) and age relaxations for reserved categories.
Medical:
A person in good physical and mental state, and who has a stated specific medical condition (ex: A-3)
Other: Should have one spouse and not barred from Government exams.
