Responsibilities of Vistara
Firstly, you must go to a pre-flight briefing during which you will receive a description of your role on that flight. Each flight, the crew receives information on the flight route, flight duration, number of infants on board, and other requests, like a passenger with a disability, who will need a wheelchair, a diabetic passenger, etc.
You have to do certain tasks, like check all safety and emergency equipment, do the required security inspections, and ensure that the cabin and all the passenger compartments are clean. At the end of the briefing you have to check that all the passengers in the front of the airplane have the information and they have the required meals, beverages, and any other items for the service. Also, don’t forget to check that you have duty free items for sale. Duty free items are counted towards your individual sales targets.
Once the flight is over, help passengers de board the plane, inspect the overhead compartments for any bags left behind, and check for any stowaways or suspicious items on the plane.
Complete the flight report and finalize the duty-free sales.
Vistara Airline Working Hours:
Rotating work schedules for the cabin crew include unexpected hours, early morning shifts, late night shifts, weekend shifts, and holiday shifts. With some airlines the hours you work can change on a weekly basis. Short haul flights typically have better schedule consistency compared to long haul flights.
If you have any return flights that get canceled or delayed, you may need to be flexible and work on your day(s) off, however you will be compensated for that.
Qualifications:
There is no need to have any degree, HND, a foundation degree, or a postgraduate degree to be part of the cabin crew. You do need to have some decent education, and certain airlines will require you to have a grade 4 (C) or higher in English and math.
Career Vistara Airline.
As a purser, you can get promoted to senior Vistara Airline cabin crew. Other airlines call this position cabin supervisor or cabin service director. This position is more or less the same as the purser, but you will be in charge of all the cabin crew on the flight, not just one. All the cabin crew and the purser/chief purser will be reporting to you. You will be responsible for the training and supervision of senior new staff members and ensure that all necessary post-flight paperwork is completed
