Key Responsibilities
Develop applications using programming languages like Java, Kotlin, Swift, Flutter, and React Native.
Communicate with the clients, product managers, and UX/UI designers to define the functional features an application should have.
Test the applications to confirm that there are no bugs and that the speed and quality is satisfactory.
Make the application more functional, secure, and user-friendly based on feedback and suggestion.
Maintain proper documentation for all the developed application, including the code and the architecture for easy reference.
Coordinate with designers, backend developers, and QA testers to produce the best quality application.
Skills & Competencies
Possess relevant programming skills and knowledge for Java, Kotlin, Swift, Flutter, React Native, and Python for web and mobile applications.
A good grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile is a plus.
Understanding DBMS and API is a plus.
Able to analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Able to communicate with clients and work in a team effectively.
Able to think outside the box and concentrate on specific design and application features.
Mahindra Education
A Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or other related fields is a minimum.
Having certification in mobile application development, web development and other related fields is highly desirable.
Work Setting
Most App Developers work in Information Technology (IT) companies, start-ups, software companies, or as independent contractors. This inline position requires on a computer for long hours, and almost constant communication with team members, either on site or remote. It is also common to have tight timelines, and lack of current information on the necessary tools and trends.
