An application developer creates programs that work on different devices. They take what the user wants and turn that into functional code. They work with a product team and other designers. They make sure the code works properly and makes changes based on the feedback and the current trends. Some of the programming languages they might use could be Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, or other more current languages.
Main Duties:
- Design and Development: Develop prototypes of applications, maintain efficient and effective programming, and add features as required
- Testing and Debugging: Testing and debugging for seamless mobile applications for iOS and Android or web platforms
- Collaboration: Collaboration with UX/UI designers, project managers, and backend development teams
- Maintenance: Updating applications, checking for compatibility, and adding/connecting APIs and databases
- Documentation: Document all processes and development procedures for future reference

Skills Needed and Qualifications:
Technical: Should know at least one programming language (Java, Swift, Kotlin, Python, JS). Must know the basics of software development, databases, and APIs.
Soft Skills: Problem-solving, analytical, attention to detail, creativity, and communication.
Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Advanced degrees are a must for senior positions.
