Data Entry Operators Process

Data Entry Operators type information from primary documents, check and change data, refresh digital files and keep folder(s) in order. They may also have to prepare documents and reports, scan, fill in and review forms, construct forms, and do some data validation.
Every day, colleagues from other departments give data entry operators documents and information to complete and update databases and files. After doing their work, data entry operators check their work for any errors and modify any information that may have been incorrectly recorded.

To perform this job, candidates should have good typing skills, and be proficient at using computers, especially in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and other data entry software. Candidates should have time management skills, be able to work without supervision, and have the ability to work in teams. Having worked at other similar administrative jobs is good, but is not necessary for this job.
