We would like to hire a YouTube Video Editor to help our content creators and influencers. This will involve crafting and editing videos in a way that tells a story visually and stays relevant to trends and best practices across YouTube and other social media outlets to keep viewers interested. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Edit YouTube content, including vlogs, interviews, tutorials, and reels, in both long and short formats.
- Edit and enhance content with B-roll, background music, sound effects, text, and animations.
- For some projects, work closely with a YouTuber to get a sense of their style, tone, and audience.
- Organize, structure, and submit final content from raw footage to meet deadlines.
- Track trends and YouTube algorithm changes to adjust content to audience shifts.
- Design thumbnails and intro/outro segments/presentation slides when asked.
Key Skills and competencies
- 1-3 years work experience editing videos made for YouTube or other digital creators, or similar positions.
- Able to master editing and design software ( Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Able to express an idea creatively with an acute sense of detail and story crafting.
- Knowledge and experience with audience pacing, retention hooks, and targeting.
- Able to gather and analyze information needed to take a defined action e.g. remotely engaging with the team for projects
