Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is expected to post the Jharkhand Police 2026 notification on the official website very soon. Recruitments for the position of Constable and Sub-Inspector for the Jharkhand Police Department will be accepted. Selection will happen in stages through the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Measurement Test and an Offline objective-type Question Paper based written Test in Hindi and English, and document verification. The applicants will have to comply with the age, educational, physical, and nationality-related criteria.
Eligibility Criteria:

| Educational Qualification | - Constable: Pass in 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
- SI: Must have passed graduation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

- Step 2: Access the “Jharkhand Police Admit Card 2026” link in the Latest Notifications section.
- Step 3: To log in, input your registration number, password, and date of birth.
- Step 4: Click on the “Admit Card” download button and print a copy to bring with you on the exam day.

The selection process is multi-phase, and it evaluates the candidate’s knowledge, endurance, and overall fitness to serve the people as a police constable. Candidates must clear every single selection stage to claim eligibility for the appointment.
Police Selection Process is as follows:
–Prelims Exam– the first objective type screening test
– Mains Exam– there are two papers, and both are included in the overall merit
– Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)- the candidate’s height, chest, and running are measured
– Medical Examination– fitness and health are evaluated
– Verification– educational, category, and identity documents are verified
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- running is the first major qualifying stage (1st stage)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)- there are criteria for measuring height and the chest
- Written Exam– after qualifying the above physical stages candidates sit for objective type OMR-based test
- Medical Examination- there is a test for assessing medical fitness
- Document Verification- original documents are checked
