Job Role and Responsibilities
The major responsibility of an Token Operator is efficiently and effectively managing the passenger flow and ticketing system for the metro stations. These operators use automated computer systems, travel cards and recharge, and automated gate services. The Token Operator also is responsible for loss of tokens, counters in the operational hours, and transaction of cash and balance, and record of timings, routes and train of the orders.
Highlighted above are the key responsibilities:
- Working of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system,
- Travel tokens or smart cards issuance and return.
- Properly managing passenger ticket counters and orderly queued passengers.
- Assisting passengers with their various queries concerning boarding, routes, ticket fare, and metro etiquettes.
- Grievances and lost items reported by passengers.
In the control of traffic, daily cash system reports, and cash collectors, reporting to the Station Controller.
Protecting the tokens and counters collection machine, ensuring the floors around the operational area remains tidy. Infact, the operations of the metro may start as early as 5 in the morning and continue on to midnight. Eligibility Criteria:
