The key responsibilities of a Token Operator include ticket sales transactions, passenger assistance, and overall ticket counter operations and ticket counter flow efficiency. Issuing metro tokens and travel cards, operating ticket vending machines for cash and electronic transactions, and assisting customers with fare and route information for travel.
Assisting customers with fare and route information for travel, answering travel guidance questions, and helping with ticketing, especially during busy times. Observing and reporting on the working of token machines and reporting any malfunctions to maintenance and control systems for rush flow during token sales. Documenting ticket sales for the day and cash collection and maintaining station discipline and safety control. Working with station controllers and customer service executives for seamless operations.
🎓 Educational Qualification:
- For Token Operator positions, the following educational qualifications should be met:
- Minimum qualification is 10th / 12th Pass from any recognized board.
- For Token Operator, higher qualifications such as a Diploma or Graduation in any stream is preferred.
- Basic Computer Knowledge and experience with Electronic Ticketing Machines is preferred for the role.
