DMRC Responsibilities
Ticketing & Token Issuance – Operate the ticket counters and token vending machines to issue passengers travel tokens or smart cards based on their journey needs.

Cash Handling & Record Maintenance – Complete daily cash balances, cash transaction, and reconcile cash balances with tokens issued.
Customer Service – Assist the elderly, children, and passengers with disabilities.
Crowd Management – Assist station staff in controlling the order and safety of the crowds during peak hours.
Compliance & Safety – Adhere to the safety guidelines, operational protocols, and security checks set by the metro authorities.
Skills & Competencies Required
Excellent command of the language and extreme people friendly qualities.
Having basic IT skills to help operate ticketing systems.
Accuracy when handling cash.
Being calm, well poised, and having a pleasing temperament. Problem-solving skills for handling unexpected passenger problems.
Willingness to adapt to changes in schedule including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum qualification: 12th pass (10+ 2) from a recognized board.

Work Environment
Metro Token Operators work at ticket counters, customer service desks, and automated vending points. The Operators have to stand for long periods, and have to communicate with passengers continuously, which may be challenging for some. Working in this role includes fast-paced work shifts, Operators may be required to rotate between different metro stations as per the duty schedule.
