Educational Qualification

(As of 1 Jan 2025) Graduates Jobs (Station Master & others): Generally 18–33 years.

12th Level Positions (Ticket Clerk): Generally 18–30 years.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Ticket Clerk and Station Master positions is based on a merit system and consists of multiple steps in a phased manner.

CBT-1 (Computer Based Test – Prelim) The first phase is an online objective test that consists of questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and Reasoning. Candidates qualifying this phase will appear for the next phase.

CBT-2 (Main Exam) Level two involves an online examination which is of a higher standard along with an extended syllabus for Reasoning, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge.

Skill/Typing Test (If Applicable) For some of the clerical positions, this involves a qualifying test for the typing/skill.

Document Verification Candidates will be required to verify documents pertaining to their education, identity, and category.

Medical Examination

Candidates will have a final medical check as per the Railway medical standards before the appointment.
